I want this movie to come out in the worst way. Why? Because it's a beautiful story about a horse who saves a girl's life and carries her through the depths of sorrow and pain. The horses are beautiful, the cast is great...and there's this beautiful story that's inspirational and can provide comfort to so many people who can relate to this girl's story...and then there are these men who are trying to steal it away from its rightful owners and prevent the film from ever being released in US and Canadian theatres...it's wrong and evil and I just hope that the good wins. I know that the owners of the film and some of the cast are strong animal rights advocates and intend to utilize the theatrical US release of this film to promote the love and care for animals and help eradicate the abuse and mistreatment of horses and all animals throughout the country. These are precious, innocent animals. It's up to us to rescue them!
These are allegations referenced in the Complaint filed against defendants. Defendants are innocent until proven guilty, and I am no authority on the case nor am I making any accusations.
This is what I hear.....
Joseph G. Pia-
Invested $0 of his own money into the film. Entertainment lawyer at Stucki Steele Pia Anderson & Rencher in Salt Lake City, Utah, Mormon
Law School: Brigham Young University-Provo, Utah, J.D.
College: Brigham Young University-Provo, Utah, B.A.
Worked as a file clerk for New Line Cinema
- wanted to broker film to foreign sales agents for 10% of the gross. The lawsuit states that Pia took the investors' money and created a whole new company in Utah for the film to smuggle money in and out without the investors' knowledge or consent. Acted alone on behalf of Shannon's Rainbow asserting falsehoods and slandering remarks. Blatantly lied about the authority and ownership rights of Supernova Media in relation to the film, Shannon's Rainbow. He altered the capital contributions of Summitworks and writers (who just formed a company called Keystar) and distribution of Class A Preferred Units and Common Units so often to favor whatever current agenda they were trying to achieve. He referenced loans as investments (to allocate common/voting units and profit share to lender) and interchangeably refers to some of the loans as investments and same as loans. He called up the USA distributor that Supernova Media had been making arrangements with and STOPPED it. He has been disseminating falsehoods since the day Supernova Media told him that they didn't want to give him 10% of the gross for him to sign the film with a foreign sales agent (anyone could get a foreign sales agent alone-they don't need a producer's rep) Signing with the foreign sales agent and tying up all the foreign rights to a film with a budget of $5M before releasing the film theatrically in the US is suicide. The investors would never recoup their investment. The most you could make with foreign sales is $1-2M. That is not enough for a $5M budget. The USA and Canadian theatrical release even if it begins as limited will generate the buzz and enhance the film's value overseas, attracting better foreign offers. This is common knowledge.
Frank E. Johnson-
Invested $0 of his own money into the film. Director of the film. Lives in Park City Utah.
Told everyone that he directed 8 years of "Touched by an Angel" when in fact he only directed 3 episodes before being fired. Promised the investors he would complete this film for $2.5M, which was very feasible. He exceeded that budget by over $1.7M. Took numerous kick-backs and stole union money reimbursements that were supposed to be used to finish post production. Tried to represent himself as the sole manager of Shannon's Rainbow when Supernova Media, Inc. was a manager as well. Did not include Supernova Media, Inc. as a manager of Shannon's Rainbow on copyright and appropriate investment/loan documents. Currently unemployed. He fired the film's accountant in PA because she knew too much and refused to lie or cheat on the books. So he hired another accountant who didn't mind compromising his morality. He inflated capital contributions from Villians' side and made the film appear finished just to obtain the PA Tax Credit which requires the completed film to be ready for delivery to investors for acceptance. The film is not complete and is currently in a lab in Hollywood with an unpaid balance. The PA Tax Credit of approx. $1,000,000 was halted just in time.

Larry Richert-
Invested $0 of his own money into the film. One of the writers. This is his first film. Former weatherman in Pittsburgh, PA. Told everyone he was the producer of the movie and tried to sell the film to foreign in Cannes for a broker's fee. Was recently honored in his hometown in PA as the local movie producer and screened a rough cut of the film without permission and at the expense of the production company. The production company had to pay an extra $8,000 for their special beta tape to show in PA. Took finder's fees for the loans he said he arranged (the accountant, Andrea, who was fired, is the one who introduced the man who loaned the money. Larry and John stole her contact and took credit for that by saying they introduced him, which is a lie) He hired his family members to work as crew, even flew in his brother from California! He created a film website that was adorned with his pictures and had Summitworks logo all over. Refused to include Supernova Media's logo and display the updated poster and didn't allow anyone access to revamp the site for a more professional look. Participated in the fraud, and worked with Pia to cover up the inflated capital contributions, describing the new increase of $250,000 as "development costs" after the film is almost complete with post production. No receipts or proof of wire transfer were ever provided.
John Mowod-
Invested $0 of his own money into the film. Lives in PA. One of the writers. This is his first film. Tried to sell the film foreign for a commission like the rest. Had his family members work as crew and handle the catering which I hear was way over priced. Told everyone he was the producer of the film along with Larry and Frank and that he raised most of the money. He, along with Larry and Frank STOPPED USA and Canadian theatrical distribution. Participant in all the action. Currently unemployed.
Charles Morrison -
Invested $0 of his own money into the film. Lives in Park City, Utah. Member of Summitworks. This is his first movie. He was a commercial pilot and then quit his job thinking he was going to get rich from this film, Shannon's Rainbow. Tried to stop production of the film numerous times, because he wanted his screenplay, "Bring Me Men" to be produced first before Shannon's Rainbow. I hear that Frank Johnson and a couple of the writers of Shannon's Rainbow said that "Bring Me Men" was a really poor script and couldn't get any funding. He tried to talk one friend of Supernova Media, Inc. not to loan any money to sustain the trucks and keep the production going while filming in PA. He kept taking Joycelyn Engle's name off bank accounts and putting his name on. He withdrew money without receipts or invoices. He is currently unemployed.
Btw, Joycelyn Engle is the producer and principle of Supernova Media, Inc. She also cast the film and persuaded all the actors to work with a first time director.
Kelly H. Nelson-
Invested $0 of his own money into the film. Lives in Salt Lake City, Utah or so I've heard. I've also heard he is out of the country hiding most of the time. Principle of Summitworks. He is the principle of companies that have no valid office address. (The Salt Lake City, Utah office address listed on the internet for both Equistar Capital and PaleoTechnology International is an empty suit) The people who had worked with him said they haven't see him in 2 years. The law officials haven't been able to hunt him down yet. He is still missing. Tried to take over the film by claiming he owned it when he invested $0 money. He promised to provide the completion bond for the film, which he never did. He tried to make Supernova Media, Inc. and Joycelyn Engle give up all their rights to the film. Even tried to get her to sign a chain of title release to Summitworks included in her producer's agreement. This is his first movie. Visited the set once.Tony Lotita-
Invested $0 of his own money into the film. Works with Kelly Nelson in both companies. His whereabouts are unknown. He is one of the principles of Summitworks. Works in oil and biotech just like Kelly Nelson. First movie. Never visited the set or went to any meeting.
